According to Nielsen Company, a percentage on the total viewing of broadcast networks and basic cable channels have rose this year, with an average of 56 hours per person a week. Also, according to scientists, excessive television watching  increases the risk of depression. Harvard University had a study on this affirming a range of emotional and physical symptoms associated with the condition.
